Uplift360 Raises €7.4 Million to Transform Composite Circularity
February 18, 2026
At IGF, we love seeing startups turn their bright ideas into reality. That’s why we follow recent news in the world of startups and help startups find investors. This time, we’d like to tell you about Uplift360. They are a Bristol-based advanced materials startup that redefines how aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors recover and reuse high-value composite waste.
Driving Sustainable Innovation in Advanced Materials
Uplift360 has recently secured a €7.4 million Seed funding round. Extantia led the round with contributions from the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), Promus Ventures, and Fund F. The funding will scale its proprietary chemical regeneration technologies. Current technology will recover carbon fibre, aramid, and hybrid laminates without degrading quality. Consequently, Uplift360’s idea is to give a second chance to composites. This approach differentiates them from conventional recycling. In turn, it will reduce waste and strengthen supply-chain resilience.
Sam Staincliffe, CEO and co-founder, explains: “This investment underlines Europe’s commitment to sustainable advanced-materials manufacturing. Our technology turns what was previously burned, buried, or exported into reliable, high-quality feedstock for industrial and defence applications. With Extantia and the NATO Innovation Fund behind us, we’re ready to scale rapidly.”
Strengthening Supply Chains Across Europe
The Seed round aligns with a broader European push into circular materials and industrial innovation. Startups like Germany’s aevoloop and METYCLE, Estonia’s Jälle Technologies, and France’s makesense are pioneering regenerative solutions. Moreover, they are attracting significant capital. Uplift360 shows that the UK can contribute to this trend too. So, as part of their approach, they build resilient supply chains for strategic materials.
Joern-Carlos Kuntze, Partner at Extantia, notes: “High-performance composites underpin Europe’s industrial competitiveness yet remain hard to recycle. Uplift360 is transforming end-of-life materials into high-quality feedstock while establishing circular supply chains.”
The funding will support Uplift360’s first steps into expanding partnerships with aerospace, defence, automotive, and energy OEMs, and accelerate R&D into regenerated-fibre performance. What’s more, it’s important to notice that Uplift360 now collaborates with Rolls-Royce, Babcock, and Leonardo. In turn, it demonstrates tangible impact across critical sectors.
Sander Verbrugge of the NATO Innovation Fund adds: “Durable, high-quality materials are vital for NATO nations. Uplift360 addresses supply-chain vulnerabilities, reduces carbon emissions, and bolsters European industrial resilience.”
We, at IGF, support startups like this and help them find investors and vice versa. We believe that with its innovative technology, expert team, and growing network, Uplift360 exemplifies the type of high-impact startup. Let’s turn your idea into life. Contact us now!
