AI-Native Alternative vs. Traditional CRMs: Clarify Secures $15M
July 23, 2025
More cool news from the startup world. Seattle-based startup Clarify has secured $15 million in Series A funding. Their goal is to expand the AI in CRM development. What does it mean? Well, it means the startup is about to develop CRM, which will be AI-based and AI-powered. The idea is to build it from scratch with the use of AI at its core. As a result, such CRMs will make sales teams work faster and ‘smarter’. Basically, everything from data entry to meeting prep is going to be packed in this CRM.
What were the ideas of the startup, you might ask? Surprisingly, they wanted to create a brand-new, modern, autonomous CRM, and not remaster the old ones. The CRM is about to allow connecting tools like email, calendars, and call platforms to generate intelligent meetings. Moreover, this platform will summarize, track pipelines, suggest updates, and prepare teams for customer interactions.
At IGF, we’re all about supporting startups with bright and innovative ideas. Therefore, in this article, we’re going to cover the topic of a Seattle-based startup and its ideas for developing AI-based CRMs.
What stands behind the ideas
The startup is led by CEO Patrick Thompson, along with co-founders Ondrej Hrebicek and Austin Hay. They wanted to show how early-stage startups change customer relationship management.
What’s interesting about the top management of the startup? Well, the fact that they are not new to building impactful products is hilarious! Additionally, Thompson and Hrebicek previously co-founded Iteratively, a data startup acquired by Amplitude in 2021. Their expertise and deep experience in the tech industry allow them to have a clear perspective on how sales teams operate. And here’s the deep understanding of how much time repetitive tasks take up and what could be done if the time is not lost.
The startup has already launched a pilot program. Consequently, as the idea looks great, it has already attracted hundreds of teams, and the platform is now publicly available. Backed by investors like USVP, Gradient, Madrona, Recall, and Fika, the company has raised a total of $22 million and employs 24 people.
“We’ve reimagined sales workflows from the ground up,” said Thompson. “Our goal is to build a generational company with the tools today’s teams actually want to use.”

“We really want to build a generational company,” Thompson said. “Moreover, we have all the makings of that already. We have a great team and great investors, and we’re building a great product.”
